5 Summer League players who can contribute to the Boston Celtics roster in 2024-25
By Seth Quinn
The Boston Celtics reduced their rotation during their run to a championship, playing as few as seven players.
While they brought everyone back, there is still plenty of room for players to carve a bench role, meaning the Vegas Summer League could be a great starting point for younger players to show they belong in the NBA.
Out of all the players on the roster, here are five players I believe have potential to contribute to a Celtics team looking to repeat as champions this coming season.
Neemias Queta
Neemias Queta re-signed with the Cs this offseason to the excitement of many fans, and he will bring his exciting play at the center spot for the summer league team.
Queta didn't get many minutes last year, but when he did play, he showed off his classic rim-running big man skillset, a player type while starting to fade away from the NBA can still be helpful off the bench.
For the Summer League team, the big man should be a force in the paint at both ends and dominate the glass, making him an exciting watch.
For the NBA team, Queta should get some run, espeically since Kristaps Porzingis will be out for a good chunk of the season.
Not only should Queta provide fun highlights during Summer League, but he could show intriguing improvement as well that could mean much more playing time this coming season.
