Jrue Holiday steps up big in Game two vs Dallas: 26 points and 11 rebounds on 79% shooting

Jrue Holiday was arguably the third-best player on the Boston Celtics this playoff run. He had the best outing for the champion-caliber point guard which had him in contention for Finals MVP for a bit. The best perimeter defender in the NBA took the tall challenge of stopping Kyrie Irving while delivering his peak offensive performance of the 2024 playoffs. He finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists with a block and a steal on 79% shooting overall, 50% from behind the arc, and 100% from the foul line.

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving struggled putting up 16 points and six assists on 39% shooting and missed all of his three-point attempts.

Holiday became the ninth player in NBA history to have 25 plus points, and 10 plus rebounds on 75% plus shooting in the Finals. He holds the distinct mark of being the only player of the nine to do it with zero turnovers.

This game etched his name in Celtics lore and the second championship may solidify his Hall of Fame resume.
