4 Celtics at risk of being traded this summer
3. Oshae Brissett
Oshae Brissett was signed to a two-year deal in the offseason, although the second year includes a player option. Brissett is a highly capable defender and has the size and versatility to play either forward spot.
He also provides much-needed wing depth for the Celtics, which was expected to help spell Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
However, the signing hasn't quite materialized into anything of substance, as Brissett has played a marginal role for the franchise. In fact, he's only played 10.7 minutes per contest in 2023-24.
And his shooting warts have continued, despite the gravity that Tatum brings. In fact, Brissett has made just 27.9 percent of his triples this season, although the sample size has been very small (1.1 attempts).
He's still a sparkplug off the bench, who provides formidable on-ball defense and rebounding. And he's still just 25-years-old.
He hasn't quite morphed into the Grant Williams replacement that many expected, but he's still averaged 12.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per 36 minutes this season.
In other words, he'd fetch value in a trade this offseason.
