Luka Samanic

The next player is a third-year Croatian forward, Luka Samanic who was never signed to the main club of the Boston Celtics but was cut during the NBA Preseason from making the team and kept with their G-League team. The 24-year-old and six-foot-10 forward has struggled to find his place in the league despite being a former first-round pick in 2019. He's spent time with both the Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs.

Samanic's best career stretch was a seven-game stint for the Jazz in the 2022-23 season where he averaged 9.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 46% shooting overall. In 27 games with the Maine Celtics in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 22 points, and 8.1 rebounds on 48% shooting overall, 33% from three, and 76% from the foul line.

This would be a potential low-risk-big reward move to bank on a breakthrough for the forward which is more than due to happen.
