Lamar Stevens
Lamar Stevens was a Celtic for 19 games which is the equivalent of a cup of Dunkin's coffee in the NBA. What happened after his Cs tenure is most notable when he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies and finished the season averaging a career-high 11.5 points, five boards, and a block and steal a game for good measure on 45% shooting in 23 minutes of action. This unexpected breakout has to make the Celtics feel he could have had a bigger role in their rotation.
The Boston Celtics should consider Stevens again on a minimum contract for a reunion. His tenacious effort defensively, and his length and athleticism make him a commodity in the league. It is good to have added depth beyond the top eight in the rotation.
