Payton Pritchard

The sparkplug of a point guard and half-court shot master, Payton Pritchard is flashy but expendable. He is the most tradeable contract on the roster with other guards hunting for his spot. Jaden Springer may give you similar offensive production with better defense on a night-to-night basis. JD Davison is probably the best of the three at running the offense in terms of basketball IQ. The half-court makes were iconic, but besides those two shots, the guard had virtually no impact on the five- game series.

Pritchard played in all 82 games averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.2 rebounds on 47% shooting overall, 39% from three, and 82% from the line. In the playoffs, his production shrank down to 6.4 points, and 2.1 assists on 42% shooting, and 38% from three.

Many teams would desire to have Crypto P as their backup point guard. If the right deal is on the table, the bench guard is likely gone. There are too many instances of vanishing acts at big moments of the season. You know it is bad when you have to relegate a player's time on the floor down to special circumstances like a half-court shot.
