3 Boston Celtics NBA draft targets with pick No. 30, 2 with pick No. 54
By Kyle Collis
G Zyon Pullin - Florida
Zyon Pullin is another older prospect at 23 years old. But he’s a six-foot-four guard who likes to attack to the rim and get to the line, as evidenced by his nearly six free throw attempts per game last season at Florida.
A big guard who, as some point, could come off the bench and get you some buckets is never a bad thing. He averaged 15.5 points and just under five assists per game last season, so if he develops a three point shot, maybe he can turn into a Payton Pritchard type of player.
He’s also viewed as a good on ball defender who could learn a ton from Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, so taking a chance on him with pick 54 seems like a risk worth taking.
G Cam Spencer - UConn
Cam Spencer transferred to the University of Connecticut and ended up winning a title there, so it seems fitting he could join a team that also just won a championship. Spencer is a six-foot-four guard who shot 44% from three last season at UConn.
You could run plays for Spencer like the Celtics do for Hauser, or drive and kick to let him make a shot. The Celtics love their three point shooters, so adding another one that can knock down shots with great efficiency definitely does not hurt.
