New Orleans Pelicans: Cody Zeller

The 31-year-old center, Cody Zeller has around 12 years of NBA experience and went to the NBA Finals in 2023 with the Miami Heat. The former 2013 lottery pick can still provide a veteran presence for a contending team and injury insurance for a team with aging and injury-prone big men.

Zeller has posted averages of 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds for his career on 52% shooting and 73% shooting from the stripe.

I do believe in the right situation a three-point shoot could be developed. Last season was an aberration for Zeller as he got just 7.4 minutes of playing time for the Pelicans and averaged a career-low 1.8 points and 2.6 rebounds on 42% shooting.

The Cs could add to their collection of solid veteran role players by enticing him to take a pay cut to vie for an NBA championship. He may be forced to as the market is quickly drying up.
