Detroit Pistons: Chimezie Metu

In a 14-game sample size, after Chimezie Metu was cut from the Suns and picked up from the Pistons, his numbers blew up. The big man averaged 10.5 points, six rebounds, two assists, and nearly two steals a game. He started in seven of the 14 contests for the Pistons. It is the Pistons, yes, but to do it on 50% shooting and 95% from the foul line is more than noteworthy.

Metu has three games of playoff experience and at age 27 should be looking to win. He can slot in at multiple positions at six-foot-10 and is hungry enough to develop quickly. There should not be much of a market for the swingman since he is not a household name in NBA circles. This could be the uncut gem that bolsters the C's bench unit as they push towards Banner 19.
