LA Lakers: Spencer Dinwiddie
The 31-year-old guard, Spencer Dinwiddie is coming off an underwhelming tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 assists on 40% shooting overall and 39% from three in around 24 minutes a night.
These numbers dipped even further into oblivion in the postseason.
The six-foot-five veteran would struggle against the Nuggets mustering three points a game on 36% shooting overall and an abysmal 25% from distance.
Dinwiddie joins a long string of role players who forgot how to shoot when they joined the Lakers. Teams are still hoping to land the combo guard in free agency because of how stout of a defender he has become.
The 2022-23 season was a glimpse of how good Spencer can be at his peak. That season with the Mavericks he averaged 17.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds on 45% shooting overall including 41% from beyond the arc all off the bench.
The Boston Celtics could use more offensive production on their second unit. Dinwiddie is worth a flier.
