Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown had something for all of his hairline haters on Wednesday night. Following Boston’s win over the Washington Wizards, Brown quote-tweeted a Bleacher Report post about his alleged sprayed-on hair rubbing off onto Wizards guard Kyshawn George’s sleeve.

“AI is getting out of hand,” Brown joked.

All of the meme NBA accounts online have been making fun of Brown’s hair through this young season. Wednesday’s incident was the third time that his “fake hair” has rubbed off on an opposing player.

The first came on Oct. 24 against the New York Knicks, when he left a black smear on OG Annunoby’s white jersey. Then, two days later, he did the same to Detroit Pistons guard Ron Holland.

Both of those clips went viral, too. Brown responded during one of his recent streams, jokingly blaming the pressure that comes with playing in Boston.

“I blame Boston. 10 years of media, stress, championships. This is ya’ll fault,” he joked on his Oct. 28 Twitch stream.

JB also tried to call LeBron James on the stream, looking for advice on getting a hair transplant. Needless to say, he’s rolled with the punches extremely well.

Good health has allowed Jaylen Brown to return to an elite level to start the season

To be honest, Brown’s hair problems are the only thing about him that haters can ridicule right now. He’s played at an unbelievable level to start this season, which is exactly what the Celtics need from him.

Through nine games, he’s averaged a career-high 27.7 points per game on 53.5% from the field -- another career best -- and 38.9% from beyond the arc, his best mark since the 2020-21 season. His three-point percentage would be even higher had he not mixed in an 0-9 game against the Houston Rockets last weekend.

Brown’s scoring success and efficiency don’t at all feel flukey, either. He’s continuously put pressure on opposing defenses and gotten to his hotspots with ease.

According to him, being healthy has been a huge difference maker.

“Health is key,” Brown told Hardwood Houdini after the win over the Wizards. “You see a lot of guys getting injured going around the league and sitting out games. I want to play as many games as I possibly can. I had some injuries last year that kind of derailed me towards the end of the season. So, health was a big emphasis going into the year. Then, at the start of the season, going into the preseason, I had a hamstring strain. Not ideal, but the medical staff managed it well, and I think I’m getting over the hump.”

Fans will remember that Brown battled through a torn meniscus throughout the late months of the regular season and playoffs earlier this year. His numbers were nowhere near where they’re at now, and everything looked much more difficult for the Georgia native.

Brown has the opportunity to continue silencing his haters in Friday’s Emirates NBA Cup matchup against the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m.
