Chris Cenac Jr. has wasted no time delivering electric content for Celtics fans

Chris Cenac Jr.'s latest vlog couldn't have come at a better time for Celtics fans stuck in the dog days of summer.

As someone whose life consistently revolves around the Boston Celtics, there’s no worse time of year than this August and September two-month stretch. The basketball world basically sits at a complete halt with no news or exciting content until training camp.

You may be asking, “Sam, why don’t you just go outside and enjoy life?”

Well, because Celtics rookie Chris Cenac Jr. just dropped a killer vlog to nourish my basketball starvation.

Cenac Jr. has been posting videos about his basketball journey to his YouTube page for the past two years now, but this most recent edition is the first to fully focus on his time as a Celtic. The vlog follows the rookie through his first full day in Boston.

He goes to the Auerbach Center for the first time as a member of the organization (he may have worked out there during the pre-draft process), gets to take photos with his NBA jersey, and tours the city with a group of kids as part of one of the team’s community events.

There’s no shortage of fun moments.

Brad Stevens absolutely stole the show during his cameo

Frankly, Brad Stevens steals every second that he’s on the screen. Boston’s president of basketball operations pops by while Cenac Jr. and fellow draftee Dillon Mitchell and their families are taking photos in front of the banners above the two parquet courts.

At the two-minute mark, Stevens strolls over and hits the group with a “morning” before welcoming both players to Boston. As I watched him enter the shot, all I could imagine was the excited applause, ala when the Avengers come out of the portals in Avengers: Endgame, a theater full of Celtics fans would emit if there were a watch party for the vlog.

His outfit is an absolute banger. I couldn’t stop laughing at Brad’s tucked polo shirt and basketball shorts combo. Simply put, it’s the perfect office attire for a hoops psycho like Stevens.

It's pretty sweet to be reminded of how active the Celtics are in the community

Another highlight was Cenac Jr.’s chat with one of the kids at the community event. First, the boy gives the Celtics’ new big man some food recommendations during their bus ride through Boston -- a nice wholesome chat. After the next cut, the two are leaning on a fence and the kid asks Cenac Jr. how much his rookie contract is worth and he has absolutely no idea.

The kid steps off the fence, turns his entire attention to Chris, and goes, “you’re a Celtics player, bro." He basically told him to lock in and get his money up. Something about there being absolutely no element of starstruckness here makes it feel like it’s right out of a comedy movie.

Overall, it was a refreshing look behind the scenes into the life of an NBA rookie as he transitions into the next chapter of his life. Plus, the pure excitement from the kids at the community event is a great reminder of how many memories the Celtics make in and around the Boston area.
