Even though the Boston Celtics have been linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo over the past few days, no one really knows how this will resolve itself. The mysterious feel to all of this is also what has kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The Miami Heat want the Greek Freak as well, but if Jaylen Brown is on the table, there's not much they can do to beat the Celtics' offer.
However, there could be a way in which both sides get what they want. Bill Simmons re-affirmed the rumor on his podcast that the Los Angeles Clippers could be involved in a blockbuster trade where they would dangle the No. 5 pick to get Brown. He added that it could be a four-team deal that would send Kawhi Leonard to the Heat.
Bill Simmons on the Clippers being a facilitator to get Giannis to Boston, and Kawhi ending up in Miami:

“I heard this too during the weekend. Could the Clippers with the 5th pick move in there and be the 3rd team and then the 2nd piece of this, would they then send Kawhi to… https://t.co/gNSEnvTTcJ pic.twitter.com/t2CA3vkENz
Simmons didn't elaborate much, but basically he a floated a blockbuster deal in which Boston gets Giannis, Miami gets Leonard, Clippers get Brown, and Milwaukee gets the No. 5 pick plus likely the Heat's assets.
There might be some hesitation from Boston and Miami to help each other out, but considering both are getting upgrades on their rosters, they would likely say yes to something like this. As for who would say no...
Why would the Clippers agree to this?
It would make sense for the Clippers to dangle the No. 5 pick to get the chance at acquiring Brown, but the No. 5 pick and Kawhi to make that happen? That feels like an overpay. Even with his reputation as perhaps the most injury-prone all-timer ever, Leonard is still a productive player.
So why wouldn't the Clippers think to pair him with Brown? Sure, it didn't work with Paul George, but there's a fair case that a bad twist of fate was what did them in more than anything. It would make more sense for the Clippers to cut out the middleman (Miami) and get Brown for the No. 5 pick while keeping Leonard.
The Heat would get the biggest payoff from this, as even if their offer is clearly not good enough for Antetokounmpo, why would it then be good enough to get Leonard? He might not be on that level anymore, but he's not too far off.
There is the possibility the Heat might get Leonard anyway, but in a situation like this, this doesn't seem worth it for the Clippers. Really, this reflects how limited Miami's assets are. If they weren't, Antetokounmpo would already be down in South Beach.
But we've seen teams agree to more ridiculous deals in the past, so all bets are off until a trade gets done.
