Torrey Craig, who signed with the Boston Celtics for the tail end of last season, is still a free agent. According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, he’s one of the best bargain free agents still available on the market. Craig was listed among the honorable mentions on Pincus’ list, and it makes sense.

Though he has been a solid 3-and-D forward for the majority of his career, Craig didn’t play much in Boston last season. He’s 34 years old and will turn 35 this December, so he’s entering the latter stages of his career. That said, there’s still a chance he could help a team in the right situation.

The question is, where would he go?

Where could Torrey Craig end up?

Most teams around the league have filled their rosters heading into next season, making it somewhat difficult to find a decent landing spot for Craig. But there are a few teams that could take an interest.

The most notable would probably be the Golden State Warriors, as they have a ton of open roster spots left. They are waiting to fill out their roster until the Jonathan Kuminga situation gets resolved.

Guys like Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton are reportedly waiting to sign with Golden State, and Craig could fit in among that group perfectly.

His defensive abilities and three-point shooting would give the Warriors some nice forward depth, which is a position they could use some help at. Behind Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody, they don’t have a lot of guys ready to play the three or four.

Even though Craig is entering the final few years of his NBA career, and at this rate, it may be coming to a close sooner rather than later, he could still be a decent end-of-the-bench player.

Outside of Golden State, Craig will likely be left to scour the market for other potential title contenders who could want someone to play spot minutes at the forward position.

Teams like the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, or Los Angeles Lakers could all make sense, depending on how they view their chances at making a deep playoff run.

A Boston return just doesn’t make sense for Craig. They likely won’t be in the title picture this year, and with how many young guys they could dole out minutes to (Baylor Scheierman, Hugo Gonzalez, Jordan Walsh, Josh Minott, and more), adding a 34-year-old to the mix probably isn’t in the cards.
