Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum will partner with Jordan brand to launch his newest “Tatum 4” signature sneaker next month. According to a post on Jordan’s website, the shoes will be available for purchase on Oct. 10.

The design features a red suede base with white accents, which aim to represent the colors of Tatum’s hometown of St. Louis, and there will be a large, diamond textured No. 0 on the sneaker’s heel.

This latest evolution of Tatum’s signature sneaker includes some mainstays of previous designs. Its wave lines along the sides are similar to those of the “Tatum 3,” while the oval shaped print is reminiscent of the “Tatum 1” and “Tatum 2.”

One staple of the star forward’s sneaker line has been awesome designs. Typically, in the months following the initial release, more and more colorways hit the shelves. Tatum’s have never disappointed.

From the “Pink Lemonade” edition of the Tatum 1s, to the “Sixth Man” of the Tatum 3s, fans can’t really go wrong.

The consistent lightweight design always makes Tatums a great option for playing, as well.

Even when it comes to sneaker marketing, Tatum's focus is on recovery

If you ask Tatum, the shoes serve as a reminder of the resilience he’s carried with him during his Achilles rehab.

“Greatness isn’t just about wins. It’s about how you handle setbacks and keep moving forward,” he said in a statement provided by Jordan. “Getting back to my best hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has taught me something and made me stronger. I’m not the same player I was before, and I’m proud of that. The Tatum 4 is part of that journey: It’s built for the grind and reminds me what resilience looks like when you’re chasing something bigger than yourself.”

Rehab can often be a trying process for athletes as they try and recover from injury and return to peak form. It’s been no secret that Tatum has attacked it head on, despite some early frustrations post-surgery.

Last week, 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak and Bertrand shared an encouraging update on the 27-year-old’s recovery with their listeners. Sources told the duo that JT has spent his entire summer rehabbing at the Celtics’ practice facility five days a week. The star still took his fair share of weekend trips, but upheld his routine even while he was away.

"He's doing things that nobody asked him to do," stated Bertrand of Tatum's commitment to the rehab process.

It’s clear that Tatum is nothing if not committed.
