Mason Plumlee

Mason Plumlee is a solid NBA veteran who could come right in and help the Boston Celtics with no waiting period necessary. Plumlee would bring the Celtics a big body that can play 15-25 minutes a night.

Since he just signed his contract during the 2023 offseason, this is not a trade that can be explored until December 15th, but right around that time, the Celtics can start looking to acquire him and make sure the team is perfectly constructed for the playoffs. The 33-year-old is also a very cheap option that would not require too much to bring aboard.

When he was traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Los Angeles Clippers last season, he showed he can give great backup minutes; and that would be exactly what the Celtics would look for when scouting him for their roster. Plumlee is a big body that the Celtics can throw at Giannis in an attempt to make him more of a jump shooter. His ability to crash the boards will also give the Cs a little more help in that area against one of the league’s great rebounders. If the Celtics are willing to wait to fill this hole, Plumlee can be an excellent fit for the roster.

With the NBA Season approaching the Boston Celtics’ championship hopes are sky high and deservedly so.

If the team looks to add a bit more size, any of these solid players being signed would give all Celtics fans the chance to go to bed at night knowing that they are far and away the team to beat in the East and the Association at large.
