San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are back at the center of the limelight in the NBA thanks to Victor Wembanyama. He’s easily one of the most intriguing storylines in the league heading into the 2023-24 season. But knowing how Spurs coach Gregg Popovich operates, he’s going to want to put Wemby in a situation where he can succeed. And that very much could involve finding a veteran guard to help him find his footing as a rookie.

With the uncertainty that surrounds the futures of Tre Jones and Devin Vassell, who the Spurs will have to make two big decisions on at some point in the next calendar year, there’s a chance San Antonio could elect to go the veteran route in the backcourt with home much young talent they have in the frontcourt.
