5 Best landing spots for Malcolm Brogdon if Boston Celtics trade him
Oklahoma City Thunder
At least heading into the start of the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder are viewed as the young darling of the Western Conference that many expect to make a move up the standings. At this point, if the Thunder don’t make the playoffs this season, this year could be viewed as somewhat of a disappointment. But with one of the league’s most talented young roster, it wouldn’t be surprising if OKC explored the trade market in search of a veteran to help this team take a step forward.
While the easy answer would be for the Thunder to target a star veteran, that’s not entirely necessary. With how their young core is expected to take another step in their development this season, adding a star may not be necessary right now. Targeting a difference-making veteran such as Malcolm Brogdon could just be as effective for OKC for this season.
Brogdon could help take some of the playmaking and scoring pressure off of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and he’s proven he could also excel off-ball. He could also help defensively in the backcourt. If the Thunder is looking to make a mid-level move this season to help their postseason chances, Brogdon would be an excellent target.
