Tatum will be 30 years old at the start of the 2028-29 season and likely have nine All-Star appearances and eight All-NBA selections to his name, but will he have that elusive championship? The 6’8 forward led the Celtics to the NBA Finals in 2022 before falling to the Warriors. Is Tatum still searching for his first ring in five years?
He is on pace to become a legend and an all-time great Celtic. Tatum will likely add a max extension to his current deal in the summer of 2025. It will pay him a massive salary and only add more pressure if Boston has not won their 18th championship. It forces them to trade Brown for SGA and remake the roster again.
With Jayson Tatum and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Boston Celtics are contenders every year. The duo leads the franchise to multiple championships and becomes legends in Beantown. Tatum gets his shining playoff moment by nailing the series-clinching shot in the NBA Finals and all is well with the historic franchise.
Jayson Tatum is still improving. He averages 30 points, nine rebounds, and five assists over the next half-decade to certify his legendary status. The teammates change, but he is the face of the franchise and one of the biggest stars in the league. The best is still yet to come from JT.
