Jaylen Brown is going to be under immense pressure in the 2023-24 season to perform at a high level, whether he likes it or not. After signing the biggest contract in NBA history that will pay him roughly $304 million, Brown will need to perform at a high level and help deliver the Boston Celtics Banner 18.

Not only do I think he will perform at a high level, I think Brown is ready for it.

Brown has said all of the right things since receiving his extension, and I think it shows that a large weight has been taken off of his shoulders. With his new contract, Brown will be able to do great things for the community and attack issues that he wants to fight. With the new money, Brown will be able to play more freely knowing that he is doing great things for the community.

Also, Brown has had interesting comments regarding the pressure and how he views it. Brown alluded to the fact that the pressure won’t phase him next season and that he does not run from it. I love this mentality from Brown because he can’t relax now that he got his money.

The truly great players improve their game tremendously and win titles after receiving contracts. Brown will need to be hungrier than ever next season.

Jaylen Brown will have a career-year for the Boston Celtics in 2023-24

I expect Brown to have a career year next season and do his best to live up to the contract. Whether or not the Celtics win the title is a separate discussion, but I think Brown will do his part to show his value. Brown has the ability to show that he was worth the contract, and I think he will put himself in a position to do so.

Ultimately, it will be interesting to see revisit these comments from Brown at the end of next season.
