Celtics Free Agent Target No. 4: Kendrick Nunn, Point Guard

Another teammate from just this past season, Kendrick Nunn joined the Washington Wizards as a part of the Rui Hachimura trade. Nunn broke out with the Miami Heat and signed a prove-it contract with the Los Angeles Lakers two seasons ago. He then lost the entire season to injury, proving nothing and setting himself on a journeyman path.

Nunn is a decent playmaker, a good shooter, and a solid finisher. If he can regain all of his athletic pop and shoot the ball well, as he did to close the season in Washington, he would be useful as the Celtics’ fourth guard. He’s at least theoretically available at the minimum, and if so he’s worth a look.

Celtics Free Agent Target No. 3: Seth Curry, Shooting Guard

Seth Curry probably isn’t available at the minimum, as despite some nagging injuries and a reduced role on a wildly fluctuating Brooklyn Nets team, shooting is always worth money. Curry is a career 43.5 percent 3-point shooter and could fill a hole the Celtics barely realize they have.

For a team that loves to get up 3-pointers, they don’t have much in the way of movement shooting. Curry would give them another wrinkle to their offense and stretch defenses in unique ways. Going back to their time together in Dallas, Porzingis is only better when the court is spaced around him. The same should go for the entire Boston offense.
