In this draft, the Boston Celtics made it count once again, taking who many would consider the best player in the draft at pick three, just as they did with Jaylen Brown in 2016. With four first-round picks in two years, the Celtics hit a home run with two of the picks.
With Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, and Dejounte Murray already on the roster in this hypothetical situation, adding Jayson Tatum to the mix would give them a player for the future at every position besides center.
Other great players that would have been worse picks but not bad picks were De’Aaron Fox, Lauri Markkanen, Donovan Mitchell, Bam Adebayo, and Jarrett Allen.
