3. Bradley Beal

Debate Beal’s star status if you wish, but he is a three-time All-Star that scored over 30 points per game in back-to-back seasons. He turns 30 at the end of June and has a full no-trade clause in Washington, but the Wizards front office shake-up may have finally convinced Beal to change teams. Fans have seen the reports, and the Celtics cannot be ruled out.

Beal and Jayson Tatum are extremely close, so joining Boston is likely high on the Wizards star’s wish list. They have been friends since childhood and could form a dynamic duo that complements each other.

Trading Jaylen Brown for Beal would be a mistake for the Boston Celtics. Their current wing is three-plus years younger and already the superior defender and overall talent. Beal is locked in until 2026 at over $50 million per season. Boston is better off just keeping Brown and giving him a max contract, but what if Jayson Tatum wants the Celtics to get Beal?

Keeping a superstar player happy is job number one of any NBA front office. Would they be willing to trade Brown for Beal if it meant keeping Tatum in Boston for the next decade? Tatum is the Celtics superstar, but the front office would regret dealing Brown for the Wizards star.

Bradley Beal is not the only star wing that will be available on the trade market this summer, so can the Boston Celtics find a deal worth making?
