9 Potential Boston Celtics free agent targets with ties to Jayson Tatum

6. Seth Curry
The younger Curry saw his minutes decrease this season, but he remains one of the best shooters in the league. He has shot over 40 percent from 3-point range in all eight years where he has played over two games. Curry struggled to find an NBA home after graduating from Duke in 2013, and he missed the entire 2017-18 season with a leg injury.
The Celtics were second in 3-point attempts this season and sixth in conversion rate. They are going to shoot a ton from long range, and they could be looking for a floor-spacing upgrade that is willing to come off the bench. Curry’s 43.5% career 3-point shooting is the sixth-best percentage in NBA history.
Seth Curry turns 33 years old in August, and he has not played 65 games in a season since 2019. The six-foot-two guard has dealt with multiple injuries in recent years, and he could be looking to chase a ring in free agency. Curry helped the Blazers reach the conference finals in 2019, and he has played in the postseason for five straight years.
The Boston Celtics have guards Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon, and Peyton Pritchard competing for minutes. Could they add Curry to that mix? It appears unlikely, but the sharpshooter would be a fantastic fit in Boston.
