The Boston Celtics rolled into Miami looking to continue to build on the momentum gained from the team’s last two wins. After falling to an 0-3 deficit in the series, Boston looked to defy the odds and force a Game 7 at home.

The team did just that in Game 6, even fooling a massive NBA account on Twitter prior to the win.

Huge Twitter account jumps the gun on Finals matchup

The C’s looked like they were on the verge of defeat, giving up multiple double-digit leads in a back-and-forth must-win game. Prior to the final two minutes, Boston controlled the majority of the win before Jimmy Butler and company stormed back with under a minute to go.

With three seconds to go in the fourth, Al Horford was called for a shooting foul, sending Butler to the line to knock down three clutch free throws, giving Miami the lead.

Nonetheless, the Celtics would inbound the ball with 3.0 seconds on the clock, hoping for a miracle. And a miracle it was. Following a Marcus Smart three-point shot that rimmed out, Derrick White managed to get in position for a put-back that would take the breath out of the arena.

It seemed most of the world believed the Celtics’ historic effort would fall short, including this huge Twitter account, Legion Hoops.

Not only did White’s huge play stun the fans of Miami, but it also obviously stunned the NBA community, as the NBA on TNT even advertised that the Heat had won the series 4-2 on national television.

The C’s will now head back to Boston, looking to make history in Monday night’s Memorial Day matchup. If the Celtics can close out the series, they’ll officially write their names down as the first team to ever successfully come back from a 3-0 series lead.

With a big Game 7 in the East on the horizon, the Denver Nuggets will sit back and watch, waiting to find out their opponent in the NBA Finals.
