Most crucial Boston Celtics X-factor to lift the Cs over the cliff

Poised for a big postseason with the Boston Celtics
The effortless and easy serenity Brogdon brings on the court is going to provide so much clarity to help the Celtics break down any defense. As he and Derrick White continue to perform like two of the helping complementary ball handlers that Tatum and Brown had always dreamed of, the Jays’ lucidity will follow. Brogdon can take any elite coverage one-on-one and conquer the fundamentals on any level offensively. He can also defend the primary ball-handler or guard, although he clearly does not need to with Boston’s developed establishment.
Attacking the paint at ease almost every possession, Brogdon typically looks to drive-and-kick, swing to the corner a lot or find shooters in general. Capable of scoring at will, he came in this season super lean as he can also control the pace and get to the cup like a breeze as well. The strength helps him overpower his opponent or defender and on the drive with either hand — allowing him to use the muscle for a variation of a sweeping hook. If not a layup, of course, Brogdon makes tough angles look easy too.
The vet provides so much instruction on the court too with him playing through big stakes before. He is a complete tough shot-maker both inside and out. Brogdon can stop the dribble while running the offense and size up his defender to drill a three over them no matter how deep. He can step back to create space in the mid-range game and get his shot up over any length or close-out. Not to mention, Brogdon was a top 3-point shooter percentage-wise all season long as he finished fourth at 44.4% and a half a point from second. The Celtics needed another scoring weapon who can run the offense as a tough shot-maker on all three levels both in and out of isolation.
For all the years and specific moments where it seemed as if Boston still needed more and if only they had certain, specific things. Brogdon seems to be the answer to those long-lasting wonders of what if.
“If you have the opportunity to go to Boston, go to Boston and play,” Brogdon said to Garnett and Pierce when being asked what stood out.
Banner 18 in a few months or down the road, Brogdon has found himself the correct home for the foreseeable future.
