Former Boston Celtics player Enes Freedom (FKA Enes Kanter) lashed out at the Cs organization via Twitter on April 16 — and Heavy’s Adam Taylor heavily pushed back at the accusations from Freedom.
Freedom had taken to social media to share an alleged story of how Kemba Walker’s health was compromised by the team’s training staff in 2020:
What has really happened to 4 time #NBA All-Star Kemba Walker?

Where is he now?
Well, it’s actually a pretty messed up story!
Let’s get into it!
After having a killer season with the @hornets, Kemba decided to sign with Boston @celtics. I’m sure he didn’t know this was gonna… pic.twitter.com/P3psMe3xQk
Taylor then hit back, saying he doubts any professional organization would ever do such a thing:
This is a really serious allegation. Saying Boston blatantly went against medical advice and risked a players health is no joke.

Obviously I have no idea if it’s true or not, but I struggle to believe any pro organization would do this. https://t.co/Bx3vdsY4nk
Former Boston Celtics big man Enes Freedom honored in Utah for activism
While Freedom clearly didn’t enjoy his time with the Boston Celtics — the outspoken big man not only had bad things to say about his first Cs stint but also called out Ime Udoka after his second stint concluded — but he did enjoy his time with the team that drafted him, the Jazz.
In fact, Utah even honored Freedom on April 12 per Deseret News.
“Former Utah Jazz man Enes Kanter Freedom returned to the state Wednesday to be honored for his activism after speaking out against alleged corruption in Turkey and human rights abuses in China,” Deseret News’ Joshua Lee said. “Riverton City awarded him the inaugural “Mayor’s Freedom Award,” which they named after him, for speaking out against human rights abuses even after he says the NBA “blackballed” him for his words.”
