Boston Celtics MVP: Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum made history as he became the first ever Celtic to average 30 points per game in a single season, making him the undeniable MVP of the Boston Celtics.
Tatum will likely finish No. 4 in the Kia NBA MVP race after ending the season with the most total points in the league.
The 25-year-old superstar posted career-high averages in points, rebounds, assists, field goals, and 3-pointers. He also had his most efficient season since his rookie year, an impressive feat given the volume and usage Tatum handles on a nightly basis.
Widely recognized for his offensive brilliance, Tatum also got after it on the defensive end all season long. Over the years, the two-way stud has grown into one of the league’s most underrated defenders.
The talented wing put the league on notice last postseason with his defensive masterclass against Brooklyn, holding Kevin Durant to 15 points and nine turnovers on a putrid 4/17 shooting when guarding him.
This spring, Tatum will look to avenge his highly scrutinized performance in last year’s NBA Finals as the Celts look to go one step further and hang another championship banner in June.
