Following Boston’s disastrous ending to their relationship with point guard Kyrie Irving, the Celtics managed to pivot quickly to replace the All-Star. In 2019, they signed Kemba Walker in a sign-and-trade deal that would bring the guard to Boston in exchange for Terry Rozier II. Walker signed a four-year, $141 million deal with the C’s.

Walker’s run in Boston wasn’t what many hoped for, but the initial deal for the UConn legend was more than what the team needed at the time. Unfortunately, the shifty guard dealt with nagging injuries in his time with the Celtics, but the team will forever be grateful for his professionalism while with the team. In 99 total games, Walker averaged 19.9 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds.

If the playmaker remained healthy, the Celtics could have been a force to reckon with, even more so than they already were.
