The Boston Celtics are in the middle of arguably their worst stretch of the 2022-23 season, but they have a chance to get a feel-good road win against a Portland Trail Blazers team that they dominated in Boston recently.
Boston won’t have center Robert Williams III in this game, and Jayson Tatum (hip) is listed as questionable. However, the Blazers may be down Jerami Grant (questionable) on Friday night.

I love the Celtics to win this game, and I bet them in a moneyline parlay with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier today.
If you’re just looking to wager on this game, I still love the Celtics to cover. They destroyed Portland in their last meeting with Damian Lillard and company, 115-93, and they should be able to handle them on the road.
Portland has a solid offense this season, but the team ranks 27th in the NBA in defensive rating, which is going to be problematic against Boston’s high-powered attack.
Jaylen Brown has been on fire as of late, so I wouldn’t be scared away by Tatum’s injury status. The Celtics have played some tight games on this road trip, but they’ve shown (against Atlanta and Portland) that they can win high-scoring games with ease.
