Immanuel Quickley’s career-high 38 points helped the Knicks outlast the Boston Celtics in an instant classic on March 5. After the two teams went blow for blow in the fourth quarter and both overtimes, New York prevailed 131-129.

Boston had heroic performances and moments as well, with Jayson Tatum going for 40 and Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford all coming up in major moments with a well-timed clutch shot. It wasn’t enough with Quickley, Julius Randle, and RJ Barrett all scoring at least 29 points. Brown did as well.

Star performances were everywhere, but with the Celtics blowing a seven-point halftime lead and losing after coming in as a 5-point favorite, so were the hot takes.
