Following a shocking loss to the Nets on Friday, the Boston Celtics look to avoid dropping their third game of their last four and their second loss in that time frame to the Knicks when they host New York at the TD Garden on Sunday, March 5.

During the last meeting between the two teams last Monday at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks were able to wipe the floor with a Cs squad that was missing Jaylen Brown due to personal reasons. New York built a 12-point lead in the first quarter and Boston never came closer than nine points for the rest of the way.

Since Josh Hart made his debut with the Knicks on February 11, New York has won their last eight games. Can they continue their climb up the Eastern Conference standings on Sunday?

New York Knicks: 4th (ORtg), 15th (DRtg), 27th (Pace), 7th (NRtg)
Boston Celtics: 3rd (ORtg), 4th (DRtg), 18th (Pace), 2nd (NRtg)

Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks Prediction

Joe Mazzulla has to have his Celtics prepared for Sunday night’s Knicks matchup considering the calamity of blowing a 28-point lead to the Nets and giving up 38 points to Mikal Bridges in the process.

With the Knicks on an eight-game winning streak, it’s hard to imagine their momentum slowing down. They have to lose at some point for the rest of the season, but Boston feels like a team in the midst of a post-All-Star break malaise.
