Anna Horford wasn’t having any of Kyrie Irving’s second trade request from the Brooklyn Nets in the last year. The sister of Boston Celtics star Al Horford shared a no-context photo — the context was the time stamp relative to the Shams bomb about Irving requesting a trade from the Nets again following broken-down contract negotiations — on her Twitter on Friday afternoon to troll the point guard.

The photo was a throwback to Irving’s famous speech about how he would be forever a Celtic if the TD Garden faithful would have him, featuring a zoomed-in shot of Horford making a seemingly hilariously skeptical face.

Here was Horford’s Twitter dunk on the infamous Celtics logo-stomping 8x All-Star:

Where former Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving may end up

This latest trade demand from Kyrie Irving feels more final than the last one considering the timing. With Kevin Durant sidelined with an injury and the trade deadline less than a week away, Irving seems truly dead set on moving on from Brooklyn and starting from scratch with a new employer.

Irving threatening not to re-sign after not agreeing to specific behavioral clauses appears to be the Nets’ breaking point. Team owner Joe Tsai dealt with a back-and-forth with Durant last summer that is most certainly not going to be repeated with Irving — with the damage of the COVID-19 vaccine scuffle last season and a problematic social media share earlier this season that saw him suspended for multiple games already done.

In terms of where he goes next, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be the most obvious landing spot given their previous interest in an Irving-for-Russell Westbrook swap discussed last offseason. The Dallas Mavericks could be an interesting option as well if they’d be willing to part with a package of Spencer Dinwiddie, Christian Wood, and draft picks.

Other teams he previously requested a trade to like the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks could potentially be in play as well.
