The Boston Celtics will be ringing in the new year in the Mile High City, with their second matchup of the 2022-23 season against the Denver Nuggets after spanking them at home back on November 11.

During that 131-112 blowout at the TD Garden, Jayson Tatum had one of his patented 30+ performances — he currently has 19 on the season — and Jaylen Brown also went for 20+ points himself. The Cs scorched the nets to the tune of 43% from the 3-point line and 55% from the field overall that night, though Denver was able to hang around with a 45/41/80 shooting slash as a team. The difference, ultimately, was Boston’s dynamic duo shining brighter than 2x reigning MVP, Nikola Jokic.

Tonight, the Celtics take on a Nuggets squad that could be without starting point guard Jamal Murray, who is averaging 18 points, 5.7 assists, and four rebounds during the 2022-23 season. Murray is currently questionable due to injury management on a torn ACL that wiped out his entire 2021-22 season. As for Boston, they’ll be fully healthy minus the absence of Danilo Gallinari, who may not make his Cs debut in 2022-23, if at all.
