The Boston Celtics take part in their final game of the 2022 calendar year — one that has had more dramatic ups and downs than most professional sports franchises will ever experience — on Wednesday, November 29 against the Los Angeles Clippers at the TD Garden.

Boston will be concluding a seven-game home stand that has featured both a three-game losing streak and currently, a three-game winning streak. They’ll be taking on a Clippers squad that is looking for its third consecutive road win themselves on the fourth game of a five-game stint away from the Crypto.com Arena (bleh, Staples Center).

The Cs have won their last three games by a combined 57 points, hitting a crescendo on Christmas day with a 21-point blowout of the team with the league’s second-best record, the Milwaukee Bucks. Boston is red-hot right now, and the sportsbooks have adjusted the line accordingly despite the last time these two teams played.

In Los Angeles on December 12, things were bowling shoe ugly. The Celtics shot a putrid 23% from beyond the arc on 39 3-point attempts, and lost big on the boards and in the turnover department. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George outplayed Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown that night, and it seemed as though the Cs were rocked from their shocking decimation at the hands of the Golden State Warriors two days prior.

Things are different now, though. Both teams are in the top third in the league that owns 20+ wins, and intrigue is high for 2022’s final game for the Cs.
