The Boston Celtics are once again on a winning streak, having most recently annihilated the Charlotte Hornets 140-105 this past Sunday for their fourth straight victory since having a nine-game win streak snapped. On Wednesday, November 30, Boston takes on their Eastern Conference finals opponent for two of the last three postseasons, the Miami Heat.

Miami has been underperforming in 2022-23 after making minimal changes in the offseason and being without Jimmy Butler for eight of their 21 games thus far. Butler was expected to return for the Heat’s pair of contests against the Cs this week, but he will be sitting out Wednesday as well.

While they sit under .500 through their first quarter of the schedule, Miami has won their last three games. Bam Adebayo has two straight 30+ point outings, while Caleb Martin has three straight 20-point games. The return of Butler could well be what gets the Heat back on track to seriously contend in the Eastern Conference.

It won’t be tonight, though. Can the Cs hold off an unhealthy Heat squad? Or will Miami pick up its signature early-season win on the road? Hardwood Houdini has your odds and a prediction for the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat on NBC Sports Boston, Bally Sports Sun, and NBA TV (all odds provided by WynnBET):

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat odds, spread

The Celtics are 9-point favorites against the Hornets at home. Miami is a +315 road underdog while Boston’s ML is set at -400. The over/under for the game has been placed at 223.5 points.

Celtics vs. Heat prediction

The Houdini has been riding the over train for a while, but given the strength of Boston’s recent play, it’s hard not to take the spread when Miami is without their best player. Expect Bam Adebayo to continue his elite play, but don’t expect much help from the supporting cast.

Lay the nine.

Pick: Celtics -9 (-110)
