The Boston Celtics have lost just one game within the confines of the T.D. Garden during the 2022-23 season and are undefeated in games that ended in regulation on their home hardwood parquet.

Their most recent win, a 125-112 blowout of the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, was a return to form for the Cs after a down game against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night — one in which Al Horford ended up scoreless and the team was trailing by 16 heading into the fourth quarter.

Against Dallas, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both went for over 30 points and every starter finished with double-digit point totals. Derrick White was re-inserted into the starting lineup, and he rewarded Joe Mazzulla with a 3/6 3-point shooting performance. Balance was restored, and Boston looked like the best team in the league again.

Can that momentum continue against the Sacramento Kings? Sactown’s seven-game winning streak was ended Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks, but before that, the Kings had not lost a game by more than one possession since October 27.

In the second game of the Celtics’ six-game home-stand, we will find out if Boston is good enough to win games they have no reason to lose. The bigger question is if they can cover a fairly sizable spread against a Western Conference team trying to establish themselves as a new-age playoff contender. Hardwood Houdini has your odds and a prediction for the Friday night battle between the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings on NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports California, and NBA League Pass (all odds provided by WynnBET):

Boston Celtics vs. Sacramento Kings odds, spread

The Celtics are 8-point favorites against the Kings at home. Sacramento is a +260 road underdog while Boston’s ML is set at -380 The over/under for the game has been placed at 235.5 points.

Celtics vs. Kings prediction

The Houdini has been heavy on the over this season, and with Sacramento 10 days removed from dropping 151 points on the Brooklyn Nets, it seemingly looks like a lock on Friday night.

We’re going a different direction, though. HH is leaning under on a high point total.

Pick: 235.5u (-110)
