The Boston Celtics finally land Mo Bamba

A move to Orlando would see Payton Pritchard land somewhere where opportunity is plentiful. The Magic are a young team with no expectations, and also very little guard depth. Pritchard could certainly fit right in behind Cole Anthony instead of RJ Hampton. Hampton currently eats up about 17 minutes per game for the Magic off of the bench.

He averages just under seven points per game, while shooting an efficient 52% from downtown. Despite the solid percentages from Hampton, Orlando could benefit from giving the minutes to Pritchard following a potential swap. His experience playing on a contending Boston Celtics team would be valuable when it comes to supplying some stability at the guard position in Orlando, as the team works to help its young talent get acclimated to the NBA.

In return Boston could net Mo Bamba, who is shaping up to be the odd man out, with both Wendell Carter Jr. and Bol Bol giving Orlando good production at the center spot. Bamba would serve as a decent back up option to both Robert Williams III and Al Horford. The 24-year-old averages just over seven points, six rebounds, and a block per game for his three-year career. This move wouldn’t be possible until January, but Boston could throw in the injured Danillo Gallinari to make the money work.
