The Boston Celtics are off to a hot 7-3 start this season, and the team is clicking on all cylinders. The Cs are receiving contributions from everyone, including the bench, which has helped spark their strong start.

Malcolm Brogdon, acquired in the offseason, has been a spark for the Celtics off the bench, and he is playing efficient basketball. Although Cs fans want Brogdon to be inserted into the starting lineup, Brogdon should remain on the bench this season.

Over the last few seasons, the Boston Celtics lacked bench scoring, and even though they made the Finals last season, they struggled to find bench scoring. Brogdon has given the Cs a legit scoring threat off the bench, and he has changed their offense.

The Cs half-court offense is the best in the league this season, and Brogdon has helped improve their ball movement. This improved ball movement has added a different dimension to the Celtics’ offense, and it makes them a dangerous team.

Brogdon has also changed the C’s philosophy, as he is motivating the other bench players. The Celtics bench is playing with a swagger and confidence that has made them a solid unit. Also, Brogdon has shifted games for the Boston Celtics this season.

Brogdon was a big spark off the bench in the game against the Chicago Bulls with 25 points and he hit clutch shots. He has also been solid at home for the Cs this season, and he has 48 combined points in his last two games in TD Garden.

This is why Brogdon needs to come off the bench for the rest of this season because he fits the role perfectly. Brogdon has a chance to be the best sixth man for the Celtics since Bill Walton for the 1986 squad. As the season progresses and Robert Williams comes back, Brogdon will be a key piece off the bench for the Cs. If he continues his strong play, the Boston Celtics’ road to banner 18 becomes a lot easier.
