3 Boston Celtics who could be All-Stars outside of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown

The Boston Celtics look like they are primed for a successful 2022-23 season after coming up short in the NBA Finals last spring. Boston fell to the Golden State Warriors in six games as Stephen Curry took home his fourth NBA title and first Finals MVP. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise fun season.

The Cs found themselves over the second half of the season, rolling over just about every team that stood in their way. The second half success can be attributed to many things. Head Coach Ime Udoka finding his footing in his rookie season, Jayson Tatum stepping up his game, and the acquisition of Derrick White were all factors in the team’s turnaround.

There’s no doubt that the Boston Celtics found an identity with Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the way. The pair gave the Cs a consistent scoring output, while turning up their energy on the defensive end. Others followed their lead and the Celtics became a defensive force.

Both players have found their way onto NBA All Star teams in the past — with Brown making it once and Tatum three times. The two should have no problem adding an appearance to those totals in the upcoming season.

They may not be the only two members of the Boston Celtics to earn an All-Star appearance this season. With reliable players pretty much top to bottom, Boston is one of the deeper teams in the league. It’s not unrealistic to think that Tatum and Brown could have a third teammate join them at this season’s all-star game in Utah.
