As the 2022-23 NBA season approaches, Boston Celtics fans have plenty to be excited about. The team of course is coming off of an NBA Finals run where some could say that they underachieved. Boston consistently made things difficult on themselves throughout the spring and it eventually caught up to them against the Golden State Warriors. Had the C’s just not been the absolute worst, they’d be hanging Banner 18 in a little over a month.

With all of that being said, it was still an exciting Celtics team to watch. They still made the NBA Finals and were two wins away from a title. Boston pulled off what may have been the greatest mid-season turnaround in the history of the league, going from a team that was difficult to root for to one that made the fanbase believe. Head Coach Ime Udoka got his players to buy into his defense-first system and things took off for the C’s.

President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens went out over the summer and made the team better. Stevens brought in Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers, sending out Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis, Malik Fitts, Nik Stauskas, Juwan Morgan, and Boston’s 2023 first-round pick. The move provides a much needed boost to the depth of the Celtics bench.

The Boston Celtics are primed to build off of an exciting season that ended in a disappointing way. Boston’s 2022-23 season should be an exciting one for the fanbase. With the season kicking off in just over a month, here are three storylines to get you pumped to watch the Celtics.
