Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum had himself a busy weekend, making appearances at multiple sporting events.

First, Tatum stopped in Columbus, Ohio Saturday to take in the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame college football game. The star wing was seen alongside former Celtics guard Evan Turner, an Ohio State alumni. Tatum and Turner were among a long list of athletes taking in Saturday’s game. LeBron James, Andre Iguodala, Joe Burrow, Ezekiel Elliot, and more were all on hand to take in the season opener.

Perhaps the headline from Tatum’s appearance at the game was his attire. JT may be the first person I’ve seen wearing an autograph. He showed up wearing a signed Ted Ginn Jr. Ohio State jersey.

Usually signed jerseys don’t make it into the wardrobe; they end up framed and hanging in a man cave.

Tatum also made a stop in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. The 3x NBA All Star headed to Busch Stadium Sunday afternoon to watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Chicago Cubs. Before the game, Tatum threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

He had tweeted at the Cardinals last week asking to throw out a first pitch and the team wasted no time accommodating the Boston Celtics star. Tatum thankfully didn’t embarrass himself on the mound, throwing a strike to Cardinals pitcher Jake Woodford.

What is maybe the biggest Tatum news from the weekend didn’t come from one of his appearances.

According to Sole Retriever’s Nicholas Vlahos, Tatum is getting his own signature line of Jordan Brand sneakers. The Tatum 1 is slated to drop in summer of 2023 with three different colorways. The sneakers will come in a “Zoo,” “St. Louis,” and “Pink Lemonade” style. Vlahos reports that each pair will have a retail price of $120.
