Boston Celtics trade target No. 2) Karl-Anthony Town

Ok, so basically what we’re saying with this list is, should the Boston Celtics ever consider putting Robert Williams III on the table in trade talks, we believe that it would be in an effort to improve their pivot position, and, though we absolutely love the man, Karl-Anthony Towns is clearly an upgrade from a talent perspective.

Already an established star with three All-Star Game appearances and two All-NBA nods attached to his name, at 26 years old KAT has already etched his name into the conversation of “best big men in the game today.”

In this league, it’s evident that star power is highly sought after amongst title-hopefuls (otherwise, Boston likely wouldn’t be interested in exchanging Jaylen Brown for Kevin Durant in the first place), so if the opportunity ever came about where Towns could be acquired from the C’s, one should expect that Time Lord would be made available to help advance the deal.

Just this past season the stud center went on to put forth one of the best showings of his seven-year career, posting sensational averages of 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep.

For his entire career, he boasts averages of 23.2 points and 11.3 boards whilst stroking long-distance shots at a 39.7 percent slip.

Easily one of the best bigs in the NBA today and definitely the league’s best stretch-big, adding Towns to the mix would open many new doors for Boston, particularly on the offensive side of the ball and, though seeing Williams in another uniform would be a tough pill to swallow, if it meant bringing the Timberwolves star back in return, one should expect the 24-year-old to be available in talks.

Next. 2 former first-round picks could realistically make C's roster. dark
