It’s no secret that the Boston Celtics have been one of, if not the biggest winners of this year’s offseason.

After having come within just two wins from bringing home the franchise’s 18th championship banner in June, Brad Stevens and co. hit the ground running in early July to try and shore up some of the weaknesses found within their rotation.

Their efforts ultimately have resulted in a flurry of rotational adjustments, several departures/ additions, and an overall improved talent pool as we approach the 2022-23 campaign.

That said, even with all of these accomplishments, one could certainly argue that there’s still some work that needs to be done before the ball club can feel truly comfortable about their chances of taking home the Larry O’Brien Trophy come year’s end.

Found within their rotation, it’s quite evident that the Boston Celtics have several holes that could still use some filling, with their biggest area of weakness falling within their frontcourt at the backup big man position behind the likes of Robert Williams and Al Horford.

Considering both of these players already have a ton of baggage attached to their names, it’s rather evident that the C’s could only benefit from having some extra heads backing them on the depth chart.

As things currently stand, the two main bigs aside from Big Al and Time Lord are Grant Williams and Luke Kornet which, quite honestly, is a bit concerning.

With this, the front office should strongly consider adding at least one more big-bodied talent to strengthen the reserve unit, and, though some may hope to see them scoop up a proven commodity off of the free agency market, as we approach this year’s training camp there are 2 former first-round draft picks already linked to the Celtics who could realistically wind up landing a spot on the regular season roster:
