2 former Boston Celtics draft busts could boom in 2022-23

Thanks to the stellar work and efforts put forth by their front office’s primary decision makers, the Boston Celtics are viewed by the masses as one of, if not the most likely team to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy heading into the campaign.

A little over a year after the C’s entered the summer of 2021 fresh off of a first-round gentleman’s sweep, they find themselves gearing up for a second consecutive potential run at glory, and Brad Stevens and co. have gone about and stockpiled this roster with major talent additions to better position themselves for ultimate success.

Seen as one of the most well-rounded rotations in the association, from their newly stockpiled backcourt depth to their revamped second unit scoring punch Boston’s current talent pool is truly an impressive collection.

However, in order for them to have managed to grab hold of some of these more prominent names, they have had to part ways with several individuals along the way, some of whom still seemed to have plenty of promise still attached to their games upon departing.

As we approach the new season, we see several of these former Boston Celtics players still looking to latch onto a forever home, or, at the very least, one that will take them in for the year.

That said, there are also some players who already are attached to solid spots on another club’s roster and, of this bunch, we at HH see two former draft busts who could wind up shedding this distinction in 2022-23:
