The Boston Celtics have had one of the most successful offseason out of essentially any other team in the association thus far, and it’s really not even up for debate.

After coming within two wins of winning the 2022 NBA Finals, the C’s front office went about and somehow managed to make the league’s runner-ups even more lethal what with the savvy additions of both Danilo Gallinari and Malcolm Brogdon.

Of course, even with these tremendous moves made by Brad Stevens and co., all sports pundits and outlets can seemingly find themselves talking about is the situation with Kevin Durant and how the Celtics could wind up striking a deal for him.

Now, when it comes to such a hypothetical scenario, Boston is viewed as the team who can package together the best deal that could be sent Brooklyn’s way, with star wing, Jaylen Brown, most likely headlining the outbound offer which, to us, is just too much to lose, even if it is for arguably the best player in the league at this point in time.

Frankly, we at HH are getting tired of hearing these rumblings about how the shamrocks could land KD, and, at this point, all we can do is hope for another team to cough up the kitchen sink for him, and, in turn, put these talks to rest.

While the Boston Celtics may be viewed as a club that possesses the best assets to intrigue the Nets into making a monster deal, we’re actually under the impression that there are several other teams that have the ability to make just as good, if not even better of an offer to execute such a blockbuster.

With this in mind, here are 3 teams that could actually outbid Boston for Kevin Durant:

Team that could outbid Boston Celtics No. 1) Memphis Grizzlies

One of the most obvious choices when it comes to teams who could outbid the Boston Celtics in a deal for Kevin Durant is, of course, the insanely deep and talented Memphis Grizzlies.

Even outside of the likes of their promising young star Ja Morant, this ball club has players galore that could be of great service to a potential Kevin Durant blockbuster.

Now, at the moment it appears that the superstar does not have Memphis on his desired list of possible trade destinations but, considering they have a budding superstar/ electrifying point guard already in tow and have only been improving every year since he’s been there, it’s not hard to believe that, if brought aboard, the ball club could easily convince him there’s a good fit.

Either way, considering he doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his current deal, the Nets don’t necessarily need his approval on a destination anyway, meaning they could simply go for the best offer out there, and, in our opinion, the Grizzlies could easily put together such a package.

22-year-old big man, Jaren Jackson, would be an excellent place to start when it comes to negotiations, as he just had himself a truly phenomenal campaign posting 16.3 points, 5.8 boards, and a whopping 2.2 blocks per game while finishing in the top-5 for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award.

At his age coupled with his impressive two-way skill set, he’d easily fit the bill as far as Brooklyn’s desire to bring on a young star-caliber player, and could mesh quite well with Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons likely remaining in tow.

On top of this, the front office could realistically add on their promising 2020 10th overall selection, Ziaire Williams, and a bevy of firsts to further entice Brooklyn.

By no means should such an offer be scoffed at.
