3 former All-Stars the Boston Celtics should still pursue this summer

The Boston Celtics recently allowed their league-leading $17.1 million TPE to expire earlier this week which, to some, was viewed as a bit of a missed opportunity considering this roster still has a few holes found within it that could use some filling and the exception, in theory, could have brought aboard a fresh new talent to help expedite the process.

However, just because they didn’t end up adding someone by this method, this is not to say that there aren’t any other avenues they could embark on that would allow them to add extra heads to their depth chart.

Arguably the most popular course of action that fans hope to see the front office take is taking another shot at the free agency market.

Already, we’ve seen Brad Stevens and co. strike gold on the open market with the signing of Danilo Gallinari, who will serve as a much-needed tertiary scoring option to have coming off the pine.

Though the large chunk of this year’s top-billed free agents have already been scooped up, there are still several players out there who, in their own right, could serve as quality additions to the team in one way or another.

In fact, there are specific available individuals out there who have established a proven track record of impressive success in this league, several of whom were once even bestowed the title of NBA All-Stars.
