For the better part of this past season, a major topic of discussion amongst Boston Celtics fans pertained to their monstrous $17.1 million TPE acquired in the Evan Fournier sign-and-trade last summer, and who the front office could opt to absorb into it.

Such luxuries have a shelf life of a full year from the date of their inception, meaning that Monday, July 18th, was the final day that the organization could have used it to try and add some new talents to continue bolstering their championship-aspiring rotation.

Throughout the day, many ideas of how the franchise could best utilize the exception were discussed, and even we here at the Houdini concocted a trade that we felt could help address a significant area of weakness on their roster.

Ultimately, however, the day came and went without any transactions being made, meaning Brad Stevens and co. opted to let their lofty luxury remain unused and, in turn, allowed it to simply fade away.

However, though the Fournier TPE is no more, thanks to the wheeling and dealing ways of the team’s top decision-makers over the last several months, the organization finds itself with six remaining exceptions, two of which hold semi-intriguing value.

What this means is, while the Boston Celtics may not have used their $17.1 million worth of house money, there is still a chance that, with these other luxuries, at some point moving forward they could wind up addressing some areas of need within their lineup.

With this in mind, today we at HH discuss the 2 most valuable TPEs of the ones that remain and a player that they could opt to pursue with each of them:
