Boston Celtics player No. 1) Mfiondu Kabengele

All Summer League long, Mfiondu Kabengele has served as the enforcer for this Boston Celtics team and has proven to be one of the most electrifying players in the tournament as a whole.

A former first-round pick back in 2019, the big man has been manning the pivot for the C’s and, as a result, has led to some impressive individual production which also has translated into boosting the team as a whole.

Logging 26 minutes a game, Kabengele has posted impressive averages of 16.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.

On top of this, he has also showcased some solid shooting efficiency, as he’s been converting 61.5 percent of his attempts from the floor thanks to both impressive post moves and thunderous jams off of lobs and has managed to flaunt his stroke from distance where he’s knocking down 37.5 percent of his 3-pointers on 2.7 attempts per game.

To this point, his impressive combination of both size (6-10 with a whopping 7-3 wingspan) and athleticism have been a major contributor to the team’s successes, as he gives his teammates something similar to a security blanket, as he’s been relied upon to bail them out of traps with simple float passes to the rim and has cleaned up their messes on numerous occasions, as the big has been an absolute monster on the offensive glass (4.3 boards per game).

Due to his solid skill set, coupled with his proven track record of serving as a major part of a title-contending team (guided the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to a G-League championship this past season), it’s safe to assume that Mfiondu Kabengele will have his hands all over this Game 4 against Memphis.
