We are just under two weeks into the NBA offseason, but the rumor mill is already churning at full speed and the Boston Celtics find themselves directly in the mix with some of the top-ranked rumblings.

Easily one of the biggest storylines to come out during this time frame pertains to megastar Kevin Durant who, due to the whole contract negotiation stalemate between Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets, is believed to be a potential flight-risk himself should cohesion not be found with their star guard.

Now, while many people do not believe the forward will be going anywhere, should a deal wind up taking place, it has the potential to be one of the biggest trades ever made in league history and, interestingly enough, there are those who believe the C’s could be in possession of the ‘best package’ to land him.

Sadly, in order for Brad Stevens and co. to strike such a deal, it will almost certainly come at the expense of Jaylen Brown, a player who, alongside Jayson Tatum as his star running mate, brought the franchise to within just two wins of bringing home banner No. 18, so the chances of Boston parting ways with the wing this summer seem slim to none, which means them landing Durant is almost certainly not realistically in the cards.

Having said that, just because KD may not wind up coming to town, this is not to say that the Celtics can’t go about and strike a deal for some other players that could wind up bettering their roster and, in turn, their chances at winning a championship in the near future.

With this in mind, we at HH believe that there are 2 players NOT named Kevin Durant that the shamrocks should be far more focused on setting their sights on:
